- Clean soil – this soil that does not have in its composition any harmful impurities and contaminants. During excavation of ground it can be reused;
- Acceptably contaminated soil – it is suggested that the level of soil contamination shall not exceed the maximum allowable concentrations of chemicals of all hazard classes. This soil can be reused, eliminating agricultural areas, residential areas, areas adjacent to water bodies with potable water, on the playgrounds, in the territory of children’s and medical institutions;
- moderately dangerous degree of contamination – soil can be used for landscaping areas subject to adding a layer of uncontaminated soil;
- Extremely dangerous degree of contamination – soil is subject to collection, transportation and disposal at specialised landfills. If there is a possibility that this soil can be a source of epidemiological risk, it is necessary to conduct the disinfection, in accordance with the prescription of State Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Oversight (“Gossanepidnadzor”) bodies and subsequent laboratory control tests.
